Hey, I'm Leslie.

Head Trainer and Owner of Constructive Canine.

I have been professionally training humans and their dogs since 2009. I am a graduate of Casper College, Sheridan College, and Animal Behavior College, along with many seminars and workshops. I believe that each dog and handler learn at their own pace and each with their own approach, so I strive to help each team feel confident in the way they are learning together. Because of that, I am continually learning from other trainers, professionals, and handlers through seminars and continuing education to be able to have the most versatile, beneficial tools and techniques available to my clients. There isn't a one-size-fits-all when it comes to dog training. My goal is to help you get the most out of your relationship with your dog, in the most effective way.

When we aren’t helping clients, I love spending time with my husband, friends, and 5 personal dogs competing in a variety of dog sports like dock diving and agility, and just enjoying the outdoors with my herd of ferals.

Howdy, I'm Jade.

Assistant Trainer at Constructive Canine.

In 2015 my heeler/border collie, Mac, plopped into my lap when I was a ripe 17 years old. I had a rude awakening of how awful he was! He was a dog with a lot of feelings and didn’t know how to process anything. I got him under control in spring 2019, and he matured with me a lot as a dog owner. I worked with an awesome trainer who happened to be a Search and Rescue team in my local area at the time and then began my spiral of “I can do MORE things with my dog?”

In the Fall of 2019, a little chocolate lab trampled into my life like the raging bulldozer she is. She was my sport prospect from day one, but she also changed the way I trained immensely. Tarot taught me how to motivate a dog, how to approach different scenarios when she was uncomfortable, and how to be patient. We now actively compete in a few different sports and have found such a fluid motion together.

That's what I want to help dog owners with; creating a fluid motion with their own dogs.

Our Personal Dogs

are always making

an appearance in lessons and classes

Our personal dogs helped us get to where we are today, and they are always down to lend a hand in group classes or private lessons.

We love knowing them, and think you will too.
